A 15-Minute Daily Routine for Posting on X Without Burning Out
15 minutes a day.

You can run X in about 15 minutes a day: roughly 8 minutes of replies in the morning, 3 minutes to line up the day's posts, and 4 minutes in the evening to answer whoever answered you. Burnout comes from trying to post all day, not from doing the small version every day. This is the schedule I would give a friend with a full-time job.
What does the 15 minutes look like?
| When | Minutes | What |
|---|---|---|
| Morning | 8 | Reply to about 10 people with an audience, posted in the last day |
| Late morning | 3 | Pick the day's posts and schedule them at spread-out times |
| Evening | 4 | Answer the replies you got, then close the app |
That is the whole day. No scrolling in between.
Why replies first?
Replies are the part with the clearest payoff for a small account, because they land under posts that already have readers. Do them while the posts you are replying under are still fresh. Scheduled posts are the background hum; replies are the work. If you only have five minutes, spend them on replies. Not sure what to post? See what to post when you have nothing to say.
How do I schedule posts without thinking about it?
Write or pick your posts once, then spread them across the day instead of firing them off together. A scheduler such as Buffer does this on its free plan. Humanish can send the day's batch to Buffer for you at spaced-out times, but the replies are always yours to send.
What should I skip?
- Checking stats every hour. Once a week is plenty.
- Threads on days you have nothing to say.
- Replying to everything. Ten you mean beat thirty you don't.
What does it look like after a few weeks?
My own account went from 2 to 1,086 followers between July 10 and October 4, 2026, and the first four weeks were slow: 73 net new followers. It was the routine, repeated, that started to compound. Plan for a quiet first month.

FAQ
How many times a day should I post on X?
A handful is plenty for a small account. Consistency matters more than volume, and a few posts you stand behind beat a dozen filler ones.
What is the best time of day to post?
It depends on where your readers are. Start spread across the day, then look at your own numbers after a few weeks.
Can I do this on my phone?
Yes. Replies and the evening check-in are both phone-friendly. Humanish works on mobile too.
What if I miss a day?
Pick up the next morning. Do not try to make up for it with twenty replies.
